The Impromptu Intermittent Fasting Challenge starts on MONDAY, APRIL 8 and I'm BEYOND thrilled!! As many of you saw on my Instagram stories, I had a little bit too much fun while in New York and my body is now ready to feel GOOD again!
I LOVE following the #AENpeeps on Instagram and in the private Autumn Elle Nutrition Facebook group. It's always so inspiring to see men and women around the world feeling GOOD again (or maybe even feeling good for the first time!). There's Amrit who significantly reduced his anxiety and is performing better than ever in school as a result. Xiomara who brought her testosterone levels to a normal state after years of low testosterone. And Kitty who lost 20 pounds AND her doctor told her that her thyroid levels were finally normal!!
These stories are my inspiration because these are REAL people who are REALLY feeling awesome! And as a result, their quality of life has shot through the roof!
Today, I'm honored to share Katrina's story! Katrina always inspires me to blend up a smoothie bowl or make an extra frothy Keto Coffee with all her beautiful pics! She's also part of the #AENpeeps! Check out Katrina's story below!
Tell us about yourself!
I’m a 32 year old former 2nd grade teacher and now I use my passion for education to coach teachers all over Southern California! I have a big loud Italian personality and use meditation/routines to help myself stay grounded. I’m the youngest in a large family and grew up raising goats. My favorite animal is a great white shark and I am the wife to the most handsome surfer ever and mama to the cutest pup, Luna!
Which Program are you following?
What was your main wellness goal with The 21 Day Intermittent Fasting Program?
Increased energy, focus, and less bloating.
Have you tried anything in the past?
Ha. Everything. Whole30, TIU, 21 day fix (beach body).
Did you have any hesitations before starting?
Yes! I have always been critical of anything to do with fasting. I felt like it wasn’t good for you until I learned the science behind why. Also, I love breakfast and the sooner I could have it the better-old mentality. The thought of waiting through my fast really scared me but I am happy to report the transition was easier than I thought AND Keto coffee really makes everything all worth it. I actually like waiting to eat so I can thoroughly enjoy it and not rush!
What's the biggest change you experienced?
Less stress since I didn’t have to plan out 5 meals anymore! Also, about 3 months in, my bloating decreased immensely!
What is your favorite meal?
Did you have a Nutrition Nerd moment? 🤓
My moment was when I first listened to the Burpees in my 30s podcast on IF (Intermittent Fasting) and Autumn discussed how IF gives your cells time to rest and repair. I remember thinking, “Oh my gosh duh. We give our muscles rest days, so why are we not giving our digestive track rest time?” It was a life changing concept.
Keto Coffee or Keto Tea?!
You have to know by now. Keto coffee!!!
Is there anything else you want to share?
I’ve definitely made it my own and learned to listen to my body. I think sometimes when you get a new plan or nutrition style, it’s easy to get obsessive but remembering that you are an individual and there is no ‘one size fits all’ is super important to keep in mind. Bend it to your needs and don’t stress yourself about it.
What's your Instagram handle?
Thank you SO much for sharing you story (and BEAUTIFUL meal pics!!) with us, Katrina!!
