As a Nutritionist, I was super intrigued to first learn about Purity's health obsessed coffee. Coffee already has so many studied benefits that I wanted to understand how it could be made even better.
That was about 8 years ago... and I'm still drinking Purity as my primary coffee to this day!
In this review (which is not sponsored by the brand), I'm sharing everything I've learned about Purity Coffee, including cost, benefits, pros + cons, and quality.

What's In This Post
Purity Coffee Review Process
In 2017, Purity Coffee sent sample bags of their brand new product to doctors and Nutritionists to sample and give to their clients/patients. Thankfully, I was one of those lucky early taste testers!
After giving it a try and loving the taste and how it made me feel, I very quickly signed up for a monthly subscription. I've been using Purity ever since!

Pros and Cons
I've put together a quick overview of my pros and cons of Purity Coffee. Said simply, I've been using Purity Coffee for about 8 years now and plan on using it for as long as it's sold.
Pros | Cons |
Strict focus on maximizing the health benefits of coffee in every step of their production: from picking the beans to the roasting process to the lab tests. | Due to the high quality coffee and testing, it's more expensive than most organic coffees. |
Certified organic coffee from regenerative farms. | Must be ordered online or in limited health food stores. |
Their decaf uses the proprietary Mountain Water Process to remove caffeine. This results in 99.9% caffeine-free coffee free of toxic residues.
Roasted to maximize for antioxidants.
Tested to ensure it's free from pesticide residues, mold, mold toxins and other contaminants.
Incredibly smooth, low acid taste.
I love that it's the only coffee that doesn't spike my anxiety levels or make me feel jittery.
Comes in a variety of forms to fit your coffee drinking needs: whole bean, ground, pods and sachets.
They also have a unique 1/3 caffeinated coffee ~ my personal favorite!
You can mix and match your subscription to take advantage of the discount while still getting a mix of products. |

Taste and Quality
With Purity, you come for the health benefits and stay for the flavor. I first was excited to try Purity all those years back because it was the only coffee brand that I found that checked all the boxes: organic, mold-free and mold-toxin free.
At the time, I was strictly avoiding coffee because so many brands have been found to be contaminated with mold and mold-toxins. I suffer from life long anxiety that seems to be spiked when I'm exposed to mold and mold-toxins so this was a huge factor for me. But I missed my coffee!
When I learned about Purity, I was thrilled (but skeptical) about being able to add coffee back into my routine without the anxiety spike and jitters.
After ripping through the first sample bag of full caffeinated Purity Coffee without experiencing any anxiety, I was hooked. It helped that Purity was the smoothest, least acidic coffee I've ever tasted.
In all my years of subscribing to Purity, I've never once had a "burnt" coffee flavor. Every cup has been delicious (even if I totally botch the brewing process on the occasion!).

Testing and Benefits
The biggest reason I'm obsessed with Purity Coffee is because of their standards and commitment to health. Every batch of their coffee goes through rigorous testing, sourcing and detailed processing to ensure it is:
maximized for antioxidants
free from mold toxins
free from mold
free from pesticide residues
And let me tell you, going through each of these steps is no joke (and not cheap). As someone who has their own product that also focuses on health, quality testing and a specific focus on taste, I know just how much time, attention and money goes into every step.
I even got to interview the founder on my YouTube channel wayyyy back in the day (circa 2020) on his mission with Purity and why they're so obsessed with making the healthiest coffee in the world.
The team over at Purity is incredibly committed to helping you make your morning ritual as health promoting as it can possibly be.
From my personal experience of having Purity every morning, I can tell you that I notice a drastic difference in my mental clarity, anxiety levels and energy when I have Purity versus when I have any other type of coffee. And although I can't scientifically claim the cause and effect, my belief is that it comes down to just how dang high quality this coffee is.

Who Should Try Purity Coffee
Using Purity Coffee has quite literally changed the game for me. I've been able to have my morning cuppa without feeling jittery or anxious, which massively improves my quality of life.
I think Purity Coffee is a good option for:
Anyone looking to maximize the health benefits of their coffee
People who love great tasting, smooth coffee
Those who are sensitive to mold and mold toxins
Someone who wants to support regenerative farming practices
Purity Coffee is not a good option for:
Those on a tight budget

Benefits of Mold-Free Coffee
Coffee is already well known for a variety of health benefits including reduced heart disease risk, lower rates of liver scarring (in those with liver disease), lower risk of Type 2 Diabetes, lower risk of depression, lower risk of Alzheimer's disease and lower risk of depression.
However, for those who are sensitive to mold (such as myself), opting for a mold-free and mold-toxin free coffee can help to reduce your exposure.
Where To Buy
Purity Coffee is easily available for purchase online. This is how I recommend getting it so that you can take advantage of the subscription discount.
(Plus, don't forget to use code AUTUMN at checkout! New customers get 20% off their first order. Try out Purity Coffee HERE.)
Purity is also available in select health food stores around the US. You can use their store locater to see if it's available at a health food store close to you.
My Favorite Products
My all time favorite is Purity's original medium roast whole bean coffee (aka "Flow"). It's the perfect balance of caffeine so that I don't feel jittery but I also get a good steady caffeine buzz to fuel my work day.
While pregnant and breastfeeding, I stick to Purity's "Balance" option. This is a 1/3 caffeinated (meaning 2/3 decaffeinated) coffee that follows the same health and testing standards as all of their other coffees. If you're sensitive to caffeine, then this is a great option.

Best Brewing and Serving Tips
If you buy more than one bag a month, only open one bag at a time. This helps to retain the freshness for much longer. I like to open one bag at a time and pour it into a glass container that I keep next to my coffee making set-up.
Opt for whole bean over ground if you want to maximize for health even further. Once you grind the coffee, it opens up the sensitive oils to oxidation. By freshly grinding it each morning, you reduce the chances of the health promoting benefits diminishing. You can get really fancy with your coffee grinders, but I keep it simple with this coffee grinder.
