Fall can be an extra tricky time to navigate health and wellness goals.
Halloween parties, office candy bowls, cookie swaps, friends-giving... so many fun opportunities to spend time with those you love - but also ample ultra processed foods to make you feel a little "bleh", too.
So this Fall Challenge we focused on bringing it back to the basics with protein, fat and fiber rich meals paired with Intermittent Fasting to help boost satiety and prevent cravings for hyper-palatable sweets.

I am a 63-year old Mom of 3 daughters and GMama to 7 granchildren!
Which Program did you follow?
I was doing the 21 Day Intermittent Fasting program that I recently purchased from you. Such a great book as are all your books I have purchased!! I can't wait to get the rest of them!! Next on my list is the Level-Up Book!! Gonna definitely nerd out on that
How did you find the AEN Community?
I found you a bit ago on Youtube and subscribed immediately. Faithful follower since then. I was taking suggestions from another nutritionist and not going anywhere. The food was not enjoyable and the restrictions on certain days was just not doable. I decided to purchase your programs a few months ago and boy, what a change has happened in my life!!
What was your main wellness goal?
I have a few wellness goals, but my top 3 were to get my body moving again. I now power walk 6 to 7 days per week, several times per day.
I also wanted to lose weight, which I also did. I lost a total of 12 pounds just in these last 21 days...woo hoo...thanks to your program!!
And my 3rd goal was to work on getting good sleep so my days would go much better with less stress (that ol' cortisol and insulin response).
Did you have any hesitations before starting the Program?
No not one!! I have complete trust in your knowledge of what works for our bodies when we are trying to achieve a body recomposition goal! I am getting there slowly but steady.
What has been your biggest wellness win with the Program?
My sleep improved, I enjoyed my meals, My glucose was in control the whole time (I have pre-diabetes), I started moving my body every single day!! I just got my labs back and all my numbers were perfect and in range...woo hoo!! Love this way of eating!! Thank you again for sharing your knowledge!!
What was your favorite recipe from the Program?
Your smoothies are to die for and I absolutely love the crunchy Broccoli salad and simple tuna salad from the 7 day detox. I love the superfood pancakes and the cauli -rice burrito bowl. Honestly, I have so much more I cannot wait to try!!
Did you have any "nutrition nerd" moments?
I had so many nutrition nerd moments...hard to pick just one.
One of them was realizing just how important healthy fats are to keep us satiated. How much we have heard over our lifetime how bad fats are! My other nerdy moment was the fact that watching our phones, laptops or tv would affect our quality of sleep. I have been working on that one, not kidding, it has been hard, but I am already reaping the benefits!
My other nerdy moments were learning about my MMC and Ghrelin and Insulin and Glucose and CCK and how they all work together. Thank you!!
Is there anything else you would like to share?
The food programs you have created are so satisfying, simple and doable! You have set me up for success and I cannot thank you enough! You have such a high energy adorable personality...keep it up!!
