Keto coffee has created quite the buzz in the nutrition world. It's been noted to help reduce hunger while fasting and ramp up fat burning mechanisms. But how many times a day can you drink Keto Coffee and still lose weight?

Today, I'm breaking down the details on Keto Coffee!

But First, What Is Keto Coffee?

In short, Keto Coffee is any coffee that will help keep your body in a fat burning state (aka lipolysis). So Keto Coffee can range from coffee blended with coconut oil and grass-fed butter to black coffee to coffee with 1 Tbsp. heavy whipping cream. Each of these options don't contain any carbohydrates or protein that will spike the storing hormone insulin and shut off lipolysis (fat burning).

How Many Times A Day Can You Drink Keto Coffee?

The number of times you can drink Keto Coffee in a day depend on a few factors:

  1. How caffeine sensitive you are.

  2. If you're using Keto Coffee as a meal replacement.

If you are particularly sensitive to caffeine, ideally you may want to stick to one cup of Keto Coffee or less per day. Too much stimulation from caffeine can disrupt your sleep and poor quality sleep is highly tied to increased weight gain and obesity.(1) For this reason, you'll also want to experiment with the timing of your Keto Coffee. If you find that you are sensitive to caffeine, you may want to limit caffeine consumption to no later than 12pm. This will allow time for the body to process and get rid of the caffeine before bed time.

If you find that you are drinking more and more Keto Coffee because it's easier than having to prep or eat a meal, then this is also going to work against your goals. By completely replacing meals with Keto Coffee, you're missing out on a significant amount of protein which is required to boost the satiety hormone peptide YY, improve body composition and achieve a weight loss goal.(2) If you find that drinking a second cup of Keto Coffee stops you from consuming a satiating meal, then this is a big sign you need to reduce your Keto Coffee consumption to one cup per day.

As a rule of thumb, aiming for 1-2 cups of Keto Coffee per day is ideal. However, depending on the above factors, you may need to stick with one or less cups of Keto Coffee per day.

Can You Drink Keto Coffee If You're Not Keto?

Although Keto Coffee has the name "keto" in it, it doesn't necessarily mean you need to be following a Keto Diet in order to drink Keto Coffee. In fact, I personally do not follow a Keto Diet (rather, the AEN Nutrient Timing in the Complete Intermittent Fasting Bundle protocols) and I drink Keto Coffee daily.

Particularly if you are following an Intermittent Fasting protocol, Keto Coffee could be an extremely useful tool for you to achieve a weight loss goal. You can check out the video below for further details on using Keto Coffee while NOT following a Keto Diet.
