We live in a time where our phones are an essential part of living - especially if you run your own business. Think about it, you have social media to keep in touch, google maps to help you find your way, YouTube to teach you new things, e-mail to be a boss, and phone calls and texting to TALK to people. We rely on our phones SO. MUCH. now, that they are no longer an option ~ they're essential.

And don't get me wrong, I LOVE my phone for all of the above reasons! But like any good thing, it's equally as important to take a break from it every now and then. Enter the Digital Detox.

What is a Digital Detox?

A Digital Detox is where you take a break from your phone for a minimum of 24 hours. This means shutting off push notifications, putting your phone on airplane mode and do-not-disturb mode, or even just turning your phone off (when was the last time you turned your phone off?! I personally haven't done that unless there's an update and I need to restart my phone).

WHY would you want to do this?!

That's what I'm diving into in today's video. Take some notes and listen up - this is a VERY important topic!

Starting tomorrow, I'll be going on a 72 hour Digital Detox to reset my mind, get the creative juices flowing, and just be present. I always utilize a Digital Detox when I'm on a DIY Wellness Retreat and I always come back a whole new, refreshed person! If you have the opportunity, I recommend you take a leap of faith and commit yourself to at least a 24 hour Digital Detox (maybe even paired with a DIY Wellness Retreat!!). Your stress levels, health, and wellness will thank you!
