Yesterday, I went live on Instagram (@autumnelle_nutrition) with one of my amazing clients, Lane. Lane is a mom and real-life full-time Olivia Pope. The last two months, along with her hectic, boss schedule, Lane prioritized her health and started meeting with me every few weeks. Because of the work she put in from our sessions and utilizing the 21 Day Intermittent Fasting Program and Level Up Guide strategies, she is officially down 20 pounds, is more energized than ever, and feeling GOOD again!

Today I'm sharing a recap of the live video from yesterday. Lane is such an inspiration for everyone out there who has a very busy schedule but wants to still achieve those wellness goals too!

Check out Lane's story below!

Tell everyone about yourself!

I'm Lane! I live in St. Louis Missouri and I have two little kids, one who is 5 and one who is 3. I work full time as a political consultant. So I'm in my very busy season right now at the end of campaign season. I was introduced to Autumn by her sister who did my eyebrows!

What made you want to address your diet?

I probably, like all people, have tried everything, especially all of the fad things. I knew that going into such a busy time in my work (I would) drink a lot of soda, I'm really under slept, and I would eat a lot of fast food. I knew that it would be better for myself energy-wise to lose weight and have more energy. I've realized that I'm not an expert and there's some things that I'm not going to take the time on and I'm definitely not going to get the expertise of someone who has their Master's in Nutrition and while I can google things and read blogs, I wanted to have someone tell me exactly what to do, (so that) I can follow a plan, and tell me the science behind everything! I wanted to take the guess-work out of it, with being busy, I didn't have the time to figure out what's the right thing - I just needed to do it.

What was your main wellness goal?

The thing that brought me to (Autumn) was to lose weight. Once I had my second baby, it got a lot more difficult (to lose the weight). At that point, I was like "yikes". But then also, I was really struggling with my acne. I really related with Autumn with lifelong struggling with anxiety. I have found the food I've been eating and getting active really helps.

What was your wellness win?

I know weight is just one measure, but yesterday I hit 20 pounds (lost) since working with Autumn. The best part is that I went from a size 14 to a size 6. So it's been really fun to shop my closet and everything fits better. I feel so much lighter and obviously I'm excited about the way I look - it's awesome! I just feel like I've been overweight for a long time. So it's been fun!

What was your experience with intermittent fasting and nutrient timing?

I am so obsessed with it - I don't know that I'll ever stop. It almost feels like magic in terms of weight loss because I have NEVER had weight fall off like this before. It's just crazy.

What would you tell someone who is scared of being hungry with intermittent fasting?

I just really don't feel hungry - definitely don't feel hungry in the morning. As long as I have the Keto Coffee, I'm really good.

What would you tell someone who is hesitant to start their wellness journey?

For me, I just got so sick and tired of "start stop start stop". This was the first time I decided (that) I'm so reliable to my family, kids, and clients and I've got to stop quitting on myself. I've got to be reliable to myself. Go into it confident that the science is on point, you have the accountability, you have the community with the Facebook Group. There's never a good time (to start)... so you just have to decide "what do I really want" and if you really want to get healthy, then you will find a way.

The big thing is that all of my meals are figured out, there's no guess work. It really helps with time.

Is there anything else you want to share?

This was a big "aha" moment for me in my journey. I was thinking about how we have two voices in our head. There's the voice that's like "it wouldn't be that big of a deal to blow off today and not eat healthy". And there's the productive voice inside you and the voices are always at battle. You have to train your subconscious that THAT voice, the productive voice will win, every time.

I just appreciate so much all of your (Autumn's) help. Because I definitely, definitely wouldn't be able to have success for the first time EVER getting healthy without you.

Lane (@lnkoch) is an absolute inspiration to me as well as anyone who has a hectic schedule. Wellness CAN be achieved, regardless of how many hours you work! It can be done! It is NOT selfish to put yourself and your health first. In order to be the best mom, employee, wife, sister, daughter, student, you need to be your best self first. And your best self is someone who has fulfilled your wellness dreams!
