What a whirlwind! This year's Summer Intermittent Fasting Challenge was one for the books! AENpeeps from around the world prioritized their health and wellness goals this summer while supporting one another in the process. There's nothing more inspiring than seeing the daily checkins from members within the private AEN Facebook group, sharing their delish meals, discussing their wellness journey and cheering each other on. Tell us about yourself!

I am 34 years old and have put being a mom ahead of my well being the last 5 years. I decided at the end of March, when I was at my heaviest, that I needed to take care of myself first if I wanted to be able to be there for my family. I started working out daily and calorie restricting. Yes, the weight started coming off but I was miserable and not enjoying my meals.


I happened to come across one of your videos and slowly made the transition onto your program. I began with increased walking, then figured out my protein and started making meals around that. Eventually I bought you beginner bundle and followed your program more closely.


I was SHOCKED at how much I was eating and yet the weight kept coming off. It was almost effortless. I then bought your protein powder, advanced protocol, supplement guide and your smoothie recipe book and I am officially hooked. I feel so healthy and strong. I am down 45 lbs and hoping to get down another 15-25lbs. I’ve never been excited about “diets/wellness goals” but I finally found something sustainable and am so amazed at these results and gains.

Have you tried anything else in the past to achieve your goals?

I’ve tried everything. Every gimmick out there from cabbage soup, weight loss pills, IF (the wrong way where you skip meals), over train/starve. You name it, I’ve done it. My whole adult life has been no on a yo-yo journey due to unsustainable weight loss choices.


Did you have any hesitations before starting the Intermittent Fasting Program?

I did. I went from counting calories and limiting my intake to 1000-1200. So, when I say how much protein and especially fat I was supposed to consume I was very hesitant. Then, I was sure it wouldn’t work when I started feeling satiated after meals. That was a very foreign concept. I was sure I was waaaaay overeating. I stuck with it for a bit and sure enough, started losing again and my workout were so much better now that I was fueling my body the right way.

What has been your biggest wellness win with the Intermittent Fasting Program?

So many. I feel so much better now. More energy for workouts and in general. No fatigue or crashes throughout the day. Not starving or hangry so I am much more patient with my kids. I am enjoying cooking/preparing your recipes. But really, my biggest gain was this sense of empowerment now that I have such a much better education thanks to you. I have control again and it feels amazing.

What was your favorite recipe from the Intermittent Fasting Program?

Oh gosh. So many... Summer detox chia pudding, and all the smoothies I have tried. Oh, the zucchini lasagna too. I can’t choose one. I have loved everything I have tried.


Is there anything else you would like to share?

I started my wellness journey because I was not in a good place. It really started with therapy and then seeing a nurse practitioner. When I was told I was depressed and had anxiety, i decided to work on me first before I took medication. I honestly think that nutrition, walking, and sleep, along with therapy, have improved my health (mental and physical).
